Suspicions grow that nanoparticles in Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine trigger rare allergic reactions

Some people suspect polyethylene glycol may have triggered severe reactions in at least eight people who received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in the past 2 weeks

Jop de Vrieze

Science Mag

Severe allergy-like reactions in at least eight people who received the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech over the past 2 weeks may be due to a compound in the packaging of the messenger RNA (mRNA) that forms the vaccine’s main ingredient, scientists say. A similar mRNA vaccine developed by Moderna, which was authorized for emergency use in the United States on Friday, also contains the compound, polyethylene glycol (PEG).
PEG has never been used before in an approved vaccine, but it is found in many drugs that have occasionally triggered anaphylaxis—a potentially life-threatening reaction that can cause rashes, a plummeting blood pressure, shortness of breath, and a fast heartbeat. Some allergists and immunologists believe a small number of people previously exposed to PEG may have high levels of antibodies against PEG, putting them at risk of an anaphylactic reaction to the vaccine.

Doctor on CNN: Don’t be ‘alarmed’ if elderly die after receiving COVID vaccine

Dr. Kelly Moore said that people 'should not be unnecessarily alarmed if there are reports, once we start vaccinating, of someone or multiple people dying within a day or two of their vaccination who are residents of a long-term care facility.'

Pete Baklinski

Dr. Kelly Moore, associate director of the Immunization Action Coalition, told CNN last week that the COVID-19 vaccines have not been tested on the “frail elderly.”
"Since they haven't been studied in people in those populations, we don't know how well the vaccine will work for them. We know that most vaccines don't work nearly as well in a frail elderly person as they would in someone who is fit and vigorous, even if they happen to be the same age," said Moore.

‘Catastrophically wrong’: German court declares regional lockdown UNCONSTITUTIONAL in ‘politically explosive’ decision

Kai Pfaffenbach

A German district court has declared a strict lockdown imposed by the government of the central state of Thuringia last spring unconstitutional, as it acquitted a person accused of violating it.

China rewrites COVID history, purges 300 studies linking virus to Wuhan lab

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is on a purging spree trying to scrub all links between the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Wuhan Institute of Virology laboratory where it originated from everywhere such evidence exists.

According to the latest reports, the CCP has already removed some 300 studies from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), a database full of studies pertaining to infectious diseases. The WIV, it is important to note, regularly relied upon studies housed within the NSFC to conduct research about animal-to-human transfer of coronaviruses, including COVID-19.
